Restaurants and cafes

Chennai offers multiple options of cuisines, starting from South Indian (obviously!) to lip smacking non-veg, from Jain food to Japanese cuisine, it can satisfy all foodies. Another great feature of food in Chennai is the price variation. The smallest of stalls and restaurants, especially the old ones, have some of the cheapest and best foods in Chennai.

Beaches

When we think about Chennai, the first word that comes to everyone’s mind is BEACH!

Bored at home? Lets go to the beach!

First date? Lets go to the beach!

The weather is too good today (for a change)? Lets go to the beach

You can never run out of reasons to go to the beach. And Chennai has so many options of beaches for your different mood. Have your family picnic at Marina beach or go for a long drive with your significant other to ECR beach. Details of these are more will be shared in the upcoming blogs.

Temples

It isn’t news that Chennai is a city with beautiful ancient temples with intricate architecture that has been looked upon for a long time. From the famous Kapaleeswarar Temple to the UNESCO Heritage Site of Mahabalipuram, Chennai is famous for its rich and diverse culture. You can’t help but be fascinated by the peace and beauty of temples in Chennai.

Attractions in Chennai

Chennai isn’t just about its beaches and temples! And no, I’m not talking about restaurants and cafes again. Chennai is architecturally quite rich too. From museums to national parks, from amusement parks to museums, there’s something for everyone.

Places to visit near Chennai

Chennaiites wait for those long weekends where they could just drive down to Pondicherry or Yelagiri, depending on the mood you know. From beach destinations to hill stations, there are a variety of destinations around Chennai where you can go relax with friends or family. Not to forget, a lot of religious destinations as well!

Nightlife

Nightlife and Chennai feel like two words that should be poles apart right? Well, maybe not. It might not be the city that never sleep, but Chennai knows how to have a party! And yes, the clubs play some crazy Tamil music sometimes and the crowd will go crazy. And even though the parties don’t go on until 4 in the morning, you’ll definitely have a night to remember (or not!) with some delicious cocktails, food and dancing your heart out.

Local shopping

Chennai is famous for its silk sarees and pattu pavadais, and everyone who visits Chennai wants to take back a Silk saree back. But not from those expensive malls right? The local shopping of Chennai comes to rescue. From the Pondy bazaar in T. Nagar to mint street in Sowcarpet, you are not going to be disappointed!

Fun activities in and around Chennai

So its not all about the restaurants and the malls and the beaches. Where is the fun beyond that? Well, Chennai has answers, and some of them are thanks to those beaches. Chennai has numerous places where you can spend hours with friends playing board games, video games, soap football, escape room mysteries or just catch a latest movie. But what about outdoors? Well, its Chennai we’re talking about. Surfing has recently started gaining popularity among Chennaiites and multiple places in the outskirts have packages where they even train you!

Weather in Chennai

Ah! Last but not the least(definitely!), the weather in Chennai! Which is basically 9 months of summer and 3 months of monsoon, which most years, is makes the news! But its definitely a myth that Chennai is the hottest city. Its usually the location of the city along with the sea that makes the city extremely humid, specially between March to June.

These are a few topics on which you will find detailed blogs in the coming days. Stay tuned!!
